What is Aluminium (Hair)?
Aluminium accumulates in hair through both endogenous incorporation during growth and external environmental contamination. Dietary and industrial exposure sources are ubiquitous; systemic absorption is limited in healthy renal function, but occupational or high environmental exposure can elevate hair content. Hair aluminium reflects chronic exposure over the growth period of the sample (typically several months) rather than acute systemic burden.
