What is Oestrone (dried urine)?
Oestrone is the predominant oestrogen after menopause, formed by peripheral aromatisation of androstenedione in adipose tissue and by direct ovarian secretion during reproductive years. Dried urine GCMS measures the parent hormone and, in extended panels, its oxidative metabolites.
