What is Beta-2-Glycoprotein I Antibody, IgA?
The IgA isotype of β2GPI antibodies is less well characterised than IgG and is not a formal classification criterion under the revised Sapporo criteria. Nevertheless, a subset of patients with clinical features of antiphospholipid syndrome test positive only for IgA, particularly in the context of systemic lupus erythematosus or catastrophic APS.
