What is Candida IgM Antibody?
IgM is the first antibody class produced during a primary immune response and can also appear during reactivation or acute exacerbation of chronic infection. Candida IgM indicates recent or acute exposure and is particularly relevant in invasive candidiasis or disseminated infection, where it may rise before IgG. Persistent IgM can signal ongoing immune challenge or failure to clear the organism.
