What is Creatinine, Plasma?
Creatinine is a non-enzymatic breakdown product of muscle creatine phosphate, produced at a relatively constant rate proportional to muscle mass, freely filtered at the glomerulus with minimal tubular reabsorption, and minimally secreted. Its plasma concentration is inversely related to glomerular filtration rate.
