What is Thyroglobulin Antibodies (Dried Blood Spot)?
Thyroglobulin antibodies are directed against thyroglobulin, the iodinated glycoprotein scaffold for thyroid hormone synthesis. They are present in a smaller proportion of autoimmune thyroid disease cases than TPOAb, often coexist with TPOAb, and can interfere with serum thyroglobulin measurements used in thyroid cancer surveillance.
